Ingredients

  • 1 whole Chicken cut into pieces
  • 2 cups Buttermilk
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 4 cups Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large bowl, soak the chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
  2. 2. In another bowl, mix the flour, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
  3. 3. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  4. 4. Dredge the buttermilk-soaked chicken pieces in the flour mixture, coating them well.
  5. 5. Fry the chicken in the hot oil until golden brown and cooked through, about 10-12 minutes per side.
  6. 6. Remove the chicken from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
