  • 4 cups milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup raisins (optional)

Instructions 

  1. 1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
  3. 3. Place the rinsed rice in the slow cooker and pour the milk mixture over it.
  4. 4. Add raisins if using. Stir to combine.
  5. 5. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours, stirring occasionally.
  6. 6. Once the rice is tender and the pudding is creamy, turn off the slow cooker and let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
