Instructions
In a saucepan, combine raspberries, sugar, and lemon juice.
Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until raspberries break down and mixture thickens, about 10 minutes.
If using cornstarch, mix it with a little water to form a slurry and add to the saucepan. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until thickened.
Strain the sauce through a fine mesh strainer to remove seeds, if desired.
Let the sauce cool before serving. Store in the refrigerator.
