  • 1 liter Whole milk
  • 0.5 cup Buttermilk

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat the milk in a pot until it reaches about 86°F (30°C).
  2. 2. Stir in the buttermilk and cover the pot. Let it sit at room temperature for 12 hours.
  3. 3. After 12 hours, the mixture should have thickened. Pour it into a cheesecloth-lined strainer and let it drain for a few hours.
  4. 4. Once the whey has drained off, transfer the quark cheese to a container and refrigerate.
