  • 1.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • ½ cup Butter softened
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Orange juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon Orange zest

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Mix in the orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder. Gradually add to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
