Dutch Apple Pie
A classic Dutch apple pie with a buttery crust and a sweet, spiced apple filling.

Crust
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter cold, cut into cubes
- ¼ cup ice water
Filling
- 6 cups apples peeled, cored, and sliced
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and butter for the crust. Add ice water and mix until dough forms.
3. Roll out dough and place in pie dish. Refrigerate while preparing filling.
4. In another bowl, mix apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
5. Pour filling into crust. Cover with top crust or lattice.
6. Bake for 45-60 minutes or until crust is golden and filling is bubbly.
7. Let cool before serving.
