Ingredients 

Doughnut Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • as needed oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, combine milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  3. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out doughnut shapes using a doughnut cutter.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the doughnuts until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Remove doughnuts from oil and place on a cooling rack to drain excess oil.
