Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups fresh blueberries

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition.
  5. Fold in the blueberries gently.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan. Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
