  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 ½ cups white sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the almond extract.
  3. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; stir into the batter alternately with the milk. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  4. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.
