Ingredients

  • 2 cups walnuts finely ground
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 large egg beaten

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a food processor, pulse the walnuts until finely ground.
  3. Add the flour, sugar, and salt to the food processor and pulse to combine.
  4. Add the cold, cubed butter and pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Gradually add the beaten egg and pulse until the dough comes together.
  6. Press the dough into a pie dish, covering the bottom and sides evenly.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. Let it cool before adding your filling.
