Ingredients 

Cupcake Batter

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the water, apple cider vinegar, vanilla extract, and vegetable oil. Mix until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into the cupcake liners, filling each about ⅔ full.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the cupcakes cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
