Main Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1.5 cups sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 coin wrapped in foil
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder.
In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Mix in the milk and vanilla extract.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Pour the batter into a greased cake pan. Insert the wrapped coin into the batter.
Bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool before serving.
