Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter softened
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 4 Eggs large
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1.5 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Milk

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
