Ingredients 

Cupcake Batter

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup whole milk

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  5. Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about two-thirds full.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
