Filling
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- ½ teaspoon ground cloves
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 pcs pie crusts store-bought or homemade
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large skillet, cook the ground pork, ground beef, and onion over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink. Add garlic and cook for another minute.
Stir in water, salt, pepper, cloves, and cinnamon. Simmer for about 10 minutes, until most of the liquid is evaporated. Let the mixture cool slightly.
Line a pie dish with one of the pie crusts. Fill with the meat mixture. Cover with the second pie crust, sealing and crimping the edges. Cut a few slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, until the crust is golden brown. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
