Ingredients

  • 1 lb Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ¼ cup Soy sauce
  • ¼ cup Mirin
  • 2 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoon water

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  2. 2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  3. 3. Pour the sauce over the shrimp and bring to a simmer.
  4. 4. Stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook until the sauce has thickened, about 1-2 minutes.
  5. 5. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
