- 1 cup sugar

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the sugar and heavy cream to the saucepan, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Pour the mixture into the pre-baked pie crust.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the filling is set.
