Ingredients

  • 8 slices bread
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 4 tablespoon strawberry jam
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Butter for cooking
  • Powdered sugar for garnish (optional)
  • Fresh strawberries for garnish (optional)

Instructions 

  1. Spread cream cheese on 4 slices of bread.
  2. Spread strawberry jam on the other 4 slices of bread.
  3. Press the cream cheese slices and jam slices together to form sandwiches.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.
  5. Dip each sandwich in the egg mixture, coating both sides.
  6. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  7. Cook sandwiches until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  8. Serve with powdered sugar and fresh strawberries if desired.
