Ingredients 

Waffle Ingredients

  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 100 g unsalted butter melted
  • 50 g sugar
  • 7 g active dry yeast
  • 60 ml warm milk
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Caramel Filling

  • 200 g brown sugar
  • 100 g unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 60 ml dark corn syrup

Instructions 

  1. Mix yeast with warm milk and let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and cinnamon. Add yeast mixture, melted butter, and beaten egg. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Cover dough and let it rise for 1 hour.
  4. Preheat waffle iron. Divide dough into small balls and cook in waffle iron until golden brown.
  5. For the caramel filling, melt butter in a saucepan. Add brown sugar, cinnamon, and corn syrup. Cook until smooth.
  6. Split waffles in half and spread caramel filling between them. Press together gently.
