Ingredients 

Tart Crust

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoon cold water

Filling

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries sliced
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and sugar. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Add the egg yolk and cold water. Mix until the dough comes together.
  4. Press the dough into tart pans. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. In another bowl, mix strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice.
  6. Fill the baked tart shells with the strawberry mixture. Bake for another 10 minutes.
  7. Let the tarts cool before serving.
