Strawberry Pretzel Salad Recipe

Base
- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- ¾ cup melted butter
- 3 tablespoons sugar
Filling
- 8 ounces cream cheese softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 8 ounces whipped topping
Topping
- 6 ounces strawberry gelatin
- 2 cups boiling water
- 2 cups cold water
- 2 cups sliced strawberries
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 3 tablespoons of sugar. Press mixture into the bottom of a baking dish.
Bake for 10 minutes. Let cool.
In another bowl, beat cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Spread over cooled pretzel crust.
In a saucepan, dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Stir in cold water. Refrigerate until partially set.
Once gelatin is partially set, fold in sliced strawberries. Pour over cream cheese layer. Refrigerate until firm.
