  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the strawberries and half of the sugar. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and the remaining sugar.
  4. Stir in the milk until just combined, then add the melted butter.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish, then spoon the strawberries and their juices over the batter.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes or until the top is golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
