Southern Possum Pie Recipe
A classic Southern dessert with layers of chocolate, cream cheese, and whipped cream.

Crust
- 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 0.5 cup pecans, chopped
- 0.5 cup butter, melted
Filling
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup whipped topping
Chocolate Layer
- 1 package instant chocolate pudding mix
- 2 cups milk
Topping
- 1 cup whipped topping
- 0.25 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, chopped pecans, and melted butter. Press into a baking pan to form the crust. Bake for 20 minutes and let cool.
In another bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping and spread over the cooled crust.
Prepare the instant chocolate pudding mix with milk according to package instructions. Spread over the cream cheese layer.
Top with remaining whipped topping and sprinkle with chopped pecans. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
