Southern Fried Catfish Recipe
Classic Southern-style fried catfish, crispy and delicious.

Main Ingredients
- 4 fillets Catfish about 6-8 ounces each
- 1 cup Cornmeal
- ½ cup All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- ½ teaspoon Garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon Onion powder
- 1 cup Buttermilk
- 2 cups Vegetable oil for frying
1. In a mixing bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
2. Dip catfish fillets in buttermilk, then dredge in the cornmeal mixture, coating evenly.
3. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
4. Fry catfish fillets for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
5. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
