Main Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 tablespoon butter cold
- 1 cup milk
- 1 unit egg beaten
Syrup
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
1. Mix flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
2. Rub in the butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
3. Add milk and egg, mix to form a dough.
4. Roll out the dough and cut into strips.
5. Twist the strips and fry until golden brown.
6. For the syrup, boil sugar and water until thickened, then add vanilla and lemon juice.
7. Dip the fried dough in the syrup and let it soak.
