  • 4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1.5 cups Buttermilk

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Make a well in the center and pour in the buttermilk. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead briefly.
  5. Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on a baking sheet.
  6. Cut a deep cross on top of the loaf and bake for 35-40 minutes.
  7. Cool on a wire rack before slicing.
