Ingredients

  • 2 cups Sushi rice
  • 1 cup Water
  • ¼ cup Rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 4 sheets Nori (seaweed)
  • 8 oz Smoked salmon thinly sliced
  • 1 Cucumber julienned
  • 1 Avocado sliced

Instructions 

  1. 1. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. 2. Combine the rice and water in a rice cooker and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  3. 3. In a small bowl, mix the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved. Fold into the cooked rice.
  4. 4. Place a sheet of nori on the sushi mat. Spread a thin layer of rice over the nori, leaving a 1-inch border at the top.
  5. 5. Arrange smoked salmon, cucumber, and avocado slices over the rice.
  6. 6. Roll the sushi tightly using the mat, then slice into pieces with a sharp knife.
