Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Transfer to slow cooker.
  2. In the same skillet, add onion, garlic, carrots, and celery. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Transfer to slow cooker.
  3. Add crushed tomatoes, beef broth, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper to the slow cooker. Stir to combine.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
  5. Serve over pasta or use as a sauce for lasagna.
