Slow Cooker Bolognese Recipe
Rich and hearty Bolognese sauce made easy in a slow cooker.

Main Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 28 oz crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Transfer to slow cooker.
In the same skillet, add onion, garlic, carrots, and celery. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Transfer to slow cooker.
Add crushed tomatoes, beef broth, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper to the slow cooker. Stir to combine.
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
Serve over pasta or use as a sauce for lasagna.
