Main Ingredients
- 1 cup grits quick-cooking
- 4 cups water
- 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
- 1 pound shrimp peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Add grits and cook according to package instructions.
Stir in cheese until melted. Keep warm.
In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
Add shrimp, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until shrimp are pink and opaque.
Stir in lemon juice. Serve shrimp over grits.
