Shortbread Cookie Recipe

Main Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the vanilla extract and salt, and mix until combined.
Gradually add the flour, mixing until the dough comes together.
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼ inch thickness. Use a cookie cutter to cut out shapes and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Let cool on a wire rack.
