  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  4. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
