  1. Pat the scallops dry with paper towels.
  2. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Place scallops in the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Remove from heat and serve immediately.
