Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 4 large egg yolks
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ cup dry white wine
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. In a heatproof bowl, whisk together egg yolks and sugar until well combined.
  2. Place the bowl over a pot of simmering water, making sure the bottom of the bowl doesn't touch the water.
  3. Slowly add the wine while continuously whisking until the mixture thickens and becomes frothy.
  4. Remove from heat and whisk in the vanilla extract.
  5. Serve immediately.
