  • 2 cups Rye Flour
  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 packet Active Dry Yeast
  • 1.5 cups Warm Water

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine rye flour, all-purpose flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. 2. In a separate bowl, mix warm water, olive oil, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  3. 3. Pour the yeast mixture into the flour mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
  4. 4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes.
  5. 5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  6. 6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. 7. Shape the dough into a loaf and place it on a baking sheet.
  8. 8. Bake for 30 minutes or until the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
  9. 9. Let the bread cool before slicing.
