Main Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 units eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- oil for frying
- powdered sugar for dusting
1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
2. In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add milk and vanilla extract.
3. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, whisking until smooth.
4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
5. Dip the rosette iron into the hot oil for a few seconds, then dip it into the batter, making sure not to cover the top of the iron.
6. Immediately dip the batter-coated iron back into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes.
7. Remove the rosette from the iron and drain on paper towels. Repeat with remaining batter.
8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
