  • 4 cups milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for garnish

Instructions 

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a large saucepan, combine the rice, milk, sugar, and salt. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and simmer, stirring frequently, until the rice is tender and the mixture has thickened, about 30-40 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the rice pudding into serving dishes and let cool. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon before serving.
