  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • ½ cup sliced almonds

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the sour cream and vanilla.
  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; stir into the batter just until blended.
  5. Fold in the raspberries and almonds. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool in the pan on a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.
