Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 cup corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 10 cups popped popcorn

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C).
  2. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil without stirring for 4-5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla extract. Gradually pour over popcorn, mixing well to coat.
  4. Spread popcorn in a large baking sheet. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven and let cool completely before breaking into pieces.
