- 1 cup prunes chopped
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a baking pan.
In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped prunes, sugar, flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
Add the vegetable oil, buttermilk, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
Bake for about 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
