Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 400 g White fish fillets such as cod or haddock
  • 300 g Potatoes peeled and chopped
  • 1 Egg beaten
  • 2 tablespoon Fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon Flour for dusting
  • 2 tablespoon Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. 1. Cook the potatoes in boiling water until tender, then drain and mash.
  2. 2. Poach the fish in simmering water until cooked through, then flake into pieces.
  3. 3. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, flaked fish, beaten egg, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  4. 4. Shape the mixture into patties and dust with flour.
  5. 5. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat and cook the fish cakes until golden brown on both sides.
