Ingredients 

Cake

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup butter melted

Sauce

  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, mix sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter. Add to the flour mixture and stir until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  5. In a saucepan, bring maple syrup, brown sugar, and heavy cream to a boil. Pour over the batter in the baking dish.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes or until the top is golden and the sauce is bubbling.
  7. Let it cool slightly before serving.
