Ingredients 

Dough

  • 4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 packet Active dry yeast
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Milk warmed
  • ¼ cup Butter melted
  • 2 Eggs beaten
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Filling

  • 2 cups Walnuts finely ground
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • ¼ cup Butter melted
  • ¼ cup Milk warmed
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add warmed milk, melted butter, and beaten eggs. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. For the filling, combine ground walnuts, brown sugar, melted butter, warmed milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract in a bowl.
  6. Roll out the dough into a large rectangle on a floured surface.
  7. Spread the filling evenly over the dough.
  8. Roll up the dough tightly from one end to the other, like a jelly roll.
  9. Place the roll on a greased baking sheet, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  11. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until golden brown.
  12. Let cool before slicing and serving.
