Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Pork shoulder cut into chunks
  • 1 jar Sauerkraut drained
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 1 Onion sliced
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Caraway seeds
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. 2. Heat a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the pork and brown on all sides.
  3. 3. Remove the pork and set aside. In the same pot, add the onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
  4. 4. Add the sauerkraut, chicken broth, and caraway seeds. Stir to combine.
  5. 5. Return the pork to the pot, nestling it into the sauerkraut mixture. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. 6. Cover and transfer to the oven. Cook for about 2 hours, or until the pork is tender.
  7. 7. Serve hot, with your favorite sides.
