Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 200 g Suet
  • 250 g Breadcrumbs
  • 250 g Brown Sugar
  • 250 g Currants
  • 250 g Raisins
  • 250 g Sultanas
  • 1 teaspoon Mixed Spice
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 4 Eggs beaten
  • 150 ml Brandy

Instructions 

  1. 1. Mix all dry ingredients together in a large bowl.
  2. 2. Add the beaten eggs and brandy, mix well.
  3. 3. Grease a pudding basin and fill with the mixture.
  4. 4. Cover with a double layer of greaseproof paper and a layer of foil, tie securely.
  5. 5. Steam for 2 hours, topping up with water as necessary.
  6. 6. Allow to cool, then store in a cool, dry place until needed.
