Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. 2. In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  3. 3. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  4. 4. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. 5. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. 6. Remove doughnuts from oil and drain on a cooling rack.
