Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Shelled pistachios unsalted
  • 2 cups Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Whole milk
  • ¾ cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 4 Egg yolks
  • ½ teaspoon Salt

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a saucepan, combine milk, sugar, and salt. Heat until sugar dissolves.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, whisk egg yolks. Slowly add warm milk mixture, whisking constantly.
  3. 3. Return mixture to saucepan. Cook over low heat until thickened.
  4. 4. Remove from heat. Stir in heavy cream, vanilla, and pistachios.
  5. 5. Chill mixture in refrigerator. Once chilled, churn in ice cream maker according to manufacturer's instructions.
