Pistachio Baklava Recipe
A delicious and rich dessert made with layers of phyllo dough, filled with chopped pistachios, and sweetened with syrup.

Main Ingredients
- 1 package Phyllo dough thawed
- 2 cups Pistachios chopped
- 1 cup Butter melted
Syrup Ingredients
- 1 cup Water
- 1 cup Sugar
- ½ cup Honey
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Brush a baking dish with melted butter.
Layer half of the phyllo dough in the dish, brushing each sheet with butter.
Spread the chopped pistachios evenly over the dough.
Layer the remaining phyllo dough on top, again brushing each sheet with butter.
Cut the baklava into diamond shapes.
Bake for 45 minutes or until golden and crisp.
While the baklava is baking, make the syrup by combining water, sugar, honey, vanilla extract, and lemon juice in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes.
Pour the hot syrup over the baked baklava.
Let the baklava cool completely before serving.
