  • 6 cups Water
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin

Instructions 

  1. 1. Rinse and sort the pinto beans.
  2. 2. In a large pot, combine beans, water, onion, and garlic.
  3. 3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours, or until beans are tender.
  4. 4. Add salt and cumin, and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
