  • 2 ½ cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter chilled and cut into small cubes
  • ¼ cup Ice water add more if needed

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
  2. 2. Add the chilled butter cubes and cut into the flour mixture using a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. 3. Gradually add ice water, one tablespoon at a time, mixing until the dough begins to come together.
  4. 4. Form the dough into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  5. 5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and fit into a pie dish. Trim and crimp the edges as desired.
  6. 6. Bake according to your pie recipe's instructions.
