Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh okra
  • 2 cups white vinegar
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoon pickling salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon dill seeds
  • 4 cloves garlic peeled

Instructions 

  1. 1. Wash and trim the okra.
  2. 2. In a saucepan, combine vinegar, water, pickling salt, and sugar. Bring to a boil.
  3. 3. Pack the okra into jars, adding mustard seeds, dill seeds, and garlic cloves.
  4. 4. Pour the hot vinegar mixture over the okra, leaving some headspace.
  5. 5. Seal the jars and let them cool. Store in the refrigerator for at least a week before eating.
